Games

Cats love to play, though kittens are the most active at it. Many cats make up their own games, such as "grab the bottom of that robe." You can also play with your cat.

Few cats can resist string, especially if you put something it can grab on the end, such as a catnip mouse. They also love ping pong balls and milk jug twists. Cats will chase and stalk just about anything, a hand, a ball, or even a friendly dog. My cat plays with our dog a lot, and the dog understands that it is on the cats terms. She can end the game whenever she wants by going away, or using claws. Your cat will let you know if it does not enjoy the game.

Toys such as rubber bands, shoelaces and any other rubber products should be avoided as many cats will eat them. My cat has been known to eat one of my necklaces (yarn and a coin), so those should also be kept out of reach as well.
