Most dog owners know of the ball retrieve
game, and other hunting games. Another popular dog game is
hunting snacks in the backyard, you hide the treats. It isn't
hard to keep most dogs occupied. For those who are a little
harder there are a few dog sports.
In fact there are at least three canine sports
that you can do with your dog. They are Flying Disc, Flyball,
and Agility. All three require high energy and speed, and
most are quite fun for everyone.
Flying Disk
This sport depends a lot on the dog.
Athletic fetchers are best and this is another sport border
collies excel at. In fact border collies excel at all canine
sports. Australian Shepherds are also very good.

Flyball
The basics of the sport. A dog is taught
to go over four hurdles, hit a box that shoots out a ball
and run all the way back over the hurdles. This sport is a
kind of relay race, with four or five dogs on a team. The
team with the shortest time wins. Like other dog sports Border
Collies excel at this game.

Canine Agility
Agility is a sport where dogs compete
to see who can run an obstacle course correctly in the shortest
time. The courses consist of different obstacles, the a-frame,
dog walk, seesaw, jumps, and tunnels constitute the brunt
of the course. Points are taken away as the dogs make faults,
which include missed contact points or knocked jumps. There
are also points taken away if a dog refuses an obstacle or
falls off the pause table.
