Dwarf Gourami (Colisa lalia)

Stats: Adult Size: 2 3/8" (6 cm)
Temp: 77-82 F (25-28 C)
Tank: 20" (50 cm) minimum
Requirements: Gouramis love floating plants, but are a bit more aggressive with tankmates than their betta cousins. Other upper level swimmers should be avoided.
Diet: Carnivore. New fish can be picky eaters so try frozen bloodworms. They love worms and small insects. Carnivore prepared pellet food is also good.
Breeding: Bubble nest builder, females have rounded dorsal fins, whereas males have pointed ends and much brighter colors.
Sociability: Can be kept in pairs, though female is normally bugged a lot. Should not be kept in groups.

Special Info: It isn't easy to get a female of this fish, as most of the ones in shops are males. The females are the same shape, but a dull tan in color.
