Spotted Bush Fish (Ctenopoma acutirostris)

Stats:

Adult Size: 4 3/4 -7 1/4" (12-18 cm)
Temp: 68-77 F (20-25 C)
Tank: 36" (90 cm) minimum

Requirements:
Floating plants appreciated, access to the water surface. A strong cover also a good idea.
Diet:
Small live, and prepared accepted.
Breeding:
Male has spiney patches on the body. Difficult, no brood care.
Sociability:
Pairs, Avoid keeping with other anabantoids, due to aggression. Will eat smaller fish, and be very testy during breeding.
