Stats:

Adult Size: 3" (7.5 cm)
Temp: 68-82 F (20-28 C)
Tank: 24" (60 cm) minimum

Requirements:
Love floating plants, and slightly cooler than tropical water. Very little surface agitation appreciated.
Diet:
Carnivore. Small live, or any prepared.
Breeding:
Bubblenest builder. Males have longer fuller fins and brighter colors. Some parental care of fry.
Sociability:
Keep in pairs, or as single fish. Young can be kept with tankmates, or with their own kind, but adults are very aggressive.

Special Info:
Paradise were second only to the goldfish in being the first fish in Europe kept for ornamentation.
