Rasboras

These fish are almost all categorized as peaceful. they are more likely to be beaten by more aggressive tank mates. most average 2 inches or less, though some very small and a few larger species exist. They are extremely popular aquarium inhabitants, though most work best as second or third rather than first fish.

Breeding for many species is easy if conditions are met. There will be no egg care form any of these guys, and they will need to be separated if you want more fry to survive.

They come from different water value ranges, so generalizing doesn't work well. The majority of common species seem to like a pH of 6.5-7.5 with low hardness.
