The Fish in the Little Cups

Most people see bettas first in tiny little cups lined up in rows at a pet shop. Next to them are all sorts of other little containers to keep them in. Some of these "Betta kits" even come with instructions. The favorite one being the Betta Vase instruction of the betta not needing to be fed. Well, here is the place for a few misconceptions to be broken. The Siamese Fighting Fish (Betta splendens) is the only Betta that is normally treated in this way. There are many other betta species, but only splendens is routinely treated this way.
