| Requirements: | At least a 20 gallon tank, caves and other hiding places needed, as well as plants to feel secure. |
| Diet: | Small live, sinking tablets, carnivore fare. |
| Breeding: | Often occurs after a slightly (1-2 degree) cooler water change. Female plumper and larger than males. Eggs affixed to aquarium decor and walls. |
| Sociability: | Keep in groups of at least 3, peaceful with most inhabitants. Do not combine with Botia spec. loaches, the botias will win the food competition. |
