Stats:

Adult Size: 12" (30 cm)
Temp: 72-77 F (22-25 C)
Tank: 48" (120 cm) minimum

Requirements:
Rock piles, with caves inside them. Water must be hard and alkaline, pH: 7.5-9, hardness: hard.
Diet:
Carnivore fare good, will also eat veggies, and cichlid staple diets.
Breeding:
Male and female cave spawners. Males smaller. Getting 6 or so juvies, and letting them pair off is the best way to get a pair.
Sociability:
Pairs, sometimes more than one female per male. Can be kept with fish from other tank areas, such as shell dwellers, or open water cichlids, or rainbows.
