Stats:

Adult Size: 12" (30 cm)
Temp: 77-86 F (25-30 C)
Tank: 48" (120 cm) minimum

Requirements:
Tank with many hiding places. Wood or tubes preferred. These guys really demand to be in groups if you ever want to see them. Also groups of calm schooling fish will draw them out.
Diet:
Anything, not picky. Small live or frozen relished. Sinking pellets also taken. If there is not enough plant matter in their diet they can destroy live plants.

Sociability:
Keep in groups of at least 3, 5-7 preferrable. Most peaceful of the Botia species. Combines very well with Tiger Barbs.

This is one of the world's top aquarium fish, despite the fact that it grows to almost a foot long, and can be quite sensitive.

WARNING:: This fish is better attempted by the intermediate hobbyist with a minimum final tank size of 90 gallons. 125-130 gallon tanks would be better.
