Chequed Barb (Capoeta oligolepis)

Synonyms:	Chequered Barb, Checker Barb
Stats:	Adult Size: 2" (5 cm) Temp: 77-82 F (25-28 C) Tank: 24" (60 cm) minimum
Requirements:	Love plants to hide in, more reserved than many barbs.
Diet:	Anything, not picky. Small live or frozen relished.
Breeding:	Females duller, males have checkerboard pattern on sides, and red fins. Easy eggscatterer. Mops work well also. Keep a few in a very overplanted tank, and there will be fry.
Sociability:	Keep in at least pairs, better in groups of 6 or more. Easy to combine with Cherry Barbs.
